Musica Reggaeton
Musica Reggaetonis a form of popular music that originated in Panama in the early 1990s. It mixes Latin American and Caribbean music styles such as salsa, bomba, plena, and cumbia with hip-hop, rap, and electronic music. The word "Reggaeton" is derived from the word "Reggae" and the suffix "ton" which means "style" in Spanish. The music is typically performed by a solo artist or a small group and contains sexually suggestive lyrics. The beats are often fast and the music is accompanied by hip-hop dance moves. Reggaeton is popular in Latin America, the United States, and Europe. Some well-known Reggaeton artists include Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, and Pitbull.
